Yonda ID Security Terms of Use

You may register as a user of our ID Security package by registering with Yonda and subscribing to this product, you must connect your free credit report in order for you to obtain the full benefits of the ID Security package. You are also responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your information and you agree to keep it up to date.

If you register for a monthly or annual paid subscription to the ID Security program, you will be provided with Dark Web monitoring and Credit Fraud Alerts.  You will only have access to the ID Security program while your subscription is current.  You can purchase your subscription from the Yonda app, which is paid monthly or annually while your subscription is active.

You acknowledge and agree that Yonda is authorised to charge the initial subscription fee from the credit card details that you provide to us together with all ongoing monthly or annual payments until such time as your subscription is terminated. You must terminate your subscription prior to the next subscription date in order to avoid the next payment. You cannot claim a refund for the remaining portion of any month or year after termination. Termination is made by you through the app store or by managing your account settings in your subscriptions within the app store.

Any such purchase is final and non-refundable, however you may terminate the subscription at any time.


With our Yonda ID Security product you get access to:


  • Daily dark web scanning for up to three  email addresses, through our partnership with ID Agent (Kasaya Group)
    • We scan for any of the below information linked to your email addresses, in respect of any online account you have ever created using those email addresses:
      • Passwords
      • Usernames
      • Login IDs 
      • First name 
      • Last name
      • Address info
      • DOB
  • There is no limit to the number of data breaches that can be identified 
  • Daily credit file scanning to identify  fraudulent credit activity, specifically for enquiries that are made on your file that might not have been initiated by you 
    • There are an unlimited amount of enquiries that can be detected via the daily scan of your credit file
  • The ability to lock and unlock your credit file should fraudulent activity be detected
  • Next step actions to follow should Yonda alert you to any data leaks linked to your personal information on the dark web
  • Premium security blogs and educational content to help you stay safe online 


Dark web monitoring Terms of Use

Yonda is partnered with ID Agent (Kasaya Group) enabling us to use the best and latest technology to scan every corner of the dark web for any of your personal information that may have been leaked. 

When you sign up to the Yonda ID Security subscription, Yonda only provides ID Agent with up to three of your email addresses (including your Yonda account email confirmed by you) to perform the dark web scan. Yonda does not supply ID Agent with any other account, password (including your Yonda account passwords) or personal information that it holds on you. 


What are the terms and conditions of using ID Agent?

You can view ID Agent’s terms and conditions here. The ID Agent platform terms and conditions apply as between you and our service provider, ID Agent. However, where you consent to us utilising  the ID Agent platform to scan the dark web using your email addresses, we also agree to comply with the relevant New Zealand consumer legislation. This position means that, where appropriate, we agree that you will be protected by the appropriate consumer legislation in New Zealand, such as the Privacy Act 2020 and the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, and you will be able to enforce those rights against us as the agent of ID Agent, even where the ID Agent terms and conditions would prevent you from enforcing your rights.


Credit fraud alerts Terms of Use 

Yonda is partnered with Equifax enabling us to use the best and latest technology to scan your credit file for fraudulent credit activity. 

When you sign up to the Yonda ID Security subscription, Yonda uses your previous credit consent to link your credit file to this service. If you haven’t consented to the credit file service then you will need to do so. Yonda does not pass on any other Yonda account or password information on to Equifax. Your Yonda passwords, account details and other personal information is safe and remains protected by Yonda.

Limitation of liability

In some instances, delays, errors or omissions may occur in the ID Security program, which will be corrected at the earliest possible opportunity. 

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yonda is not liable for:

a) Any special, consequential, indirect, incidental, punitive or exemplary loss or damages of any kind.

b) In the event that you suffer loss as a result of our negligence, the maximum amount Yonda will be liable for is either re-supplying the affected service to you or refunding what you have paid Yonda for it within the stipulated time frame and payment and refund terms and conditions. 

Any claims arising in connection with your use of ID Security, or any content must be brought within thirty (30) days of the date such action occurred. Remedies under these Terms are exclusive and are limited to those expressly provided for in these Terms.


Privacy Policy

Before you use or continue to use ID Security we advise you to read our privacy policy describing Yonda’s usual procedures for the collection, storage, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
